Principal Satellite Payload Engineer Germantown MD Pay From: $150,000 per year MUST: Experienced Satellite Payload Engineer 15+ years' of experience in engineering development of commercial communication systems 5+ years' experience with LEO constellations including specification, design, manufacturing, launch, and operations 5+ years' experience with reliability, particularly how it relates to component selection, manufacturing process, and test 5+ years' experience with manufacturing and testing of ESAs 5+ years' experience with Ka-band and S-band RF electronics 5+ years' experience with terrestrial cellular including 3G/4G/5G Ability to travel periodically in North America and internationally Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering DUTIES: Works with satellite manufacturers and engineers to ensure all satellite requirements are satisfied for proper operation within LEO systems Establishes and monitors objectives, specifications, and plans to ensure projects are executed effectively Participates in design reviews and trade analysis for optimal performance and operation of the satellite and constellation Represents client in payload and platform component selection and make/buy decisions to ensure vendor experience, quality, and ability to deliver meet requirements Analyzes satellite and constellation reliability by trading cost versus MTTF and performance versus user experience Oversees the satellite manufacturing plan and processes for high volume LEO satellite production including analysis of supply chain, assembly, and test Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
