CAD and Simulation Specialist

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Your mission as a CAD and Simulation Specialist is to perform activities within the teams committed sprint and backlog related to handling of end users incidents. Provide knowledge and support to business on CAD, Simulation, and PDM systems and ensure that users can utilize the solution provided efficiently. It is expected to deliver and ensure good quality to our systems, services and environments, especially to issues concerning the production environment. The CAD and Simulation team is a part of the Operations Solutions department at Epiroc which provides implementation, maintenance, support, and development of CAD, Simulation, PDM, PLM, MES, and OT solutions.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Manage and resolve end user incidents related to CAD, Simulation, and PDM software
  • Together with the agile team carry out and deliver sprint commitments
  • Following the team commitments and the department's ways of working
  • Understand business requirements in relation to customizations and configurations
  • Follow the methods, development processes, and documentation principals set by Operations Solutions
  • Collaborate with other agile teams and team members at Operations Solutions and other parts of Epiroc IT when needed
  • Participating in the team's SCRUM Ceremonies and actively contributing accurate planning, performance and evaluation for the sprints
  • Manage and resolve incidents from business users according to SLA and incident process
  • Provide knowledge to users one-on-one, in workshops, and trainings
  • Have a continuous dialogue with business key/super users regarding the existing solution to gather feedback for competence gaps and improvements
  • Suggest, develop and maintain suggestions on best practices and training materials for end users to fill competence gaps
  • Execute trainings for key users and end users within projects
  • Coordinate and execute validation activities within the agile team
  • Write articles in knowledge base to share knowledge
  • Participate in developing your teams agile ways of working
  • Actively contribute to understanding, breaking down, plan for and following up the team's delivery
  • Actively in your agile team and in the forum for your expertise contribute with your knowledge to suggest improvements within the Object Specialist-principles



Preferred but not required



  • Experience in license and server management
  • Experience working with software providers to implement CAD or PDM products
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (this role will be working as a part of an autonomous agile team utilizing SCRUM framework)
  • Experience with Teamcenter PLM system



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE



  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field alternatively equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in customer support in CAD, PDM or Simulation software
  • Experience in Creo Parametric, Solidworks CAD, Solidworks PDM
