Moog's Corporate Group is looking for a Manager of Operational Technology Support.

As the Manager of Operational Technology Support, you will be responsible for driving the strategy and delivering seamless support for Operational Technology (OT) in the environment. This role is pivotal in overseeing the support and connectivity for manufacturing, shop-floor, and industrial control systems across the enterprise.

As a key leader in the IT Service Delivery team, you will partner with other IT teams to help deliver OT support services and will partner closely with OT applications and security teams to ensure all solutions meet architectural and cyber security standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Operational Technology support professionals who provide critical technical support activities for connected machinery in the manufacturing and shop-floor production areas.
  • Serve as the key escalation point for OT support issues for site leadership, operations teams, and other IT teams for any critical issues.
  • Function as Service Owner for OT support services, responsible for developing service roadmaps, service health reporting, budgeting for service execution, and implementing continuous improvement efforts to constantly evolve the service.
  • Maintain and improve lifecycle management plan for OT assets across the footprint, serving in a leadership role when introducing new OT assets or sites to the global footprint.
  • Partner with Operations, Test Equipment, and other IT teams to maintain a business continuity plan for all specialized computer/technology used in the Engineering, Manufacturing, Testing, Quality, Clean Rooms, and Inspection areas.
  • Develop resource plans and budgets for the OT support team, ensuring we have the right team members located in the right locations to provide mission-critical support capabilities.
  • Participate as a member of the Operational Technology steering committee to ensure the capabilities the IT organization provides for OT meet the business needs and are continually evaluated for architectural fit.
  • Evangelize the adoption of IT service management practices, helping the team learn about these practices, and implement them to deliver value to our stakeholders.
  • Collaborate as part of the IT Services & Operations organization, leveraging relationships with peer leaders to drive improvement of IT and OT services across the organization.
  • Serve as an empathetic and effective people leader, driving the development and growth of the team to improve employee engagement and team outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Typically, a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, management information systems, or related field
  • More than eight (8) years of progressive experience in the technology or manufacturing engineering fields (i.e. technology infrastructure, end-user support, manufacturing execution systems), inclusive of at least four (4) years' experience in operational technology support, engineering, and/or management
  • At least five (5) years' experience leading teams
  • Proven aptitude and experience with strategic decision-making, planning, vision and governance for customer experience and IT support operations
  • Strong knowledge of OT systems, including Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and other industrial control systems
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity practices in OT environments, particularly the NIST 800-171 framework.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, storage, and application communication
  • Demonstrated capabilities in leading strategic implementations particularly with gaining buy-in from diverse stakeholders and working across complex organizations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; demonstrated competence communicating with all levels of the organization
  • Must be a US citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in computer science, engineering, management information systems, business administration (MBA) or other related fields
  • Certifications in ITIL, Agile, or Project Management disciplines

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $140,000.00-$170,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
