Job Overview:
As a Quality Inspector at APSCO, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. You will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products, components, and materials at various stages of the manufacturing process to identify defects, deviations, and areas for improvement.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of products, components, and materials. * Perform tests and checks using precision measuring instruments and equipment. * Inspect and verify compliance with product specifications, drawings, and quality standards. Identify, disposition, and document defects, discrepancies, and non-conformities. * Record inspection results and maintain accurate inspection records and reports. * Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. * Participate in quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards. * Assist in the development and improvement of quality assurance processes and procedures. Assist the Quality Engineer with monitoring and evaluating non-conforming materials. * Provide feedback and recommendations for process and product improvements. Contribute to a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization. * Will be expected to help train Supervisors, Leads and Operators in Quality standards and methodologies. Other duties as defined by leadership, based upon skillset. Requirements:
* At least 2 (two) or more years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or machining environment * At least 2 (two) or more years of experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and work instructions. * At least 1 (one) or more years of experience with precision measurement tools and inspections techniques (calipers, micrometers, and gauges) * Basic computer literacy for accessing work instructions and recording data. * Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs. Core Competencies:
* Attention to Detail - maintains accuracy in measurements and documentation; catches discrepancies others may miss. * Problem Solving - Identifies quality issues, investigates root causes, and contributes to effective solutions. * Mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills. * Teamwork and communication in a production environment. * Accountability - taking ownership of assigned tasks and consistently follows through with minimal supervision.
Preferences:
* Experience in hydraulic or pneumatic system assembly. * Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. * Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards or other quality systems.
Travel & Work Arrangements:
This position will be based 100% onsite at our Tulsa, Oklahoma facility Must be available to work overtime as needed, including weekends or extended shifts. What We Offer:
