Mission

Reeves Construction Company is currenlty seeking experienced Water Truck Drivers/Operators based out of Savannah, GA. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Qualifed candidates must have a Class B CDL with Tanker endorsement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate a standard tanker-type truck along with loading and offloading product safely.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspection checklist on equipment such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
  • Able to handle paperwork concerning Department of Transportation regulations, freight weigh bills, fuel tickets and load tickets.
  • Able to carry out detailed instructions, take directions to job sites, but also must be able to use good judgement in decision-making and be able to work without direct supervision.
  • Able/willing assist with additional tasks as necessary.
  • Operate the vehicle safely in traffic situations and follow the policies and procedures of the company.
  • Ensure all activities are performed within the company's safety policies and procedures
Qualifications and Certifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum of three months related experience and/or training.
  • Valid Class B CDL Driver's License with Tanker endorsement and a clean MVR.
  • The ability of drive truck with the manual transmission.
  • Must meet all DOT requirements for CDL drivers, including the DOT physical exam.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to climb onto and up and down a machine several times a day.
  • Must be able to sit in a machine and operate it for several hours without stopping.
  • Must withstand vibration from track and job site conditions as well as noise from other equipment.
  • Must be able to use arms, hands, and feet in repetitive motions.
  • Must be able to perform manual duties, such as placing paint drums on the vehicle.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand and walk.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit.
  • The employee must regularly lift and move up to 60 pounds.
  • Employees must have 20/40 vision, either naturally or with corrective lenses.
  • Hearing should be excellent or corrected by audio device.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performning the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
