Title: Senior Operations Accountant

Location: Brooklyn Park, MN - Hybrid

Salary: 90,000 - 110,000

As the Senior Operations Accountant, you will support the Equipment Operations team through daily & monthly accounting tasks such as milestone customer invoicing, preparing month end Percentage of Completion revenue recognition, and maintaining balance sheet accuracy for the equipment division. Additionally, this position will support the financial analysis and process improvement of both the Chemical & Equipment Operations, including but not limited to expense analysis, capitalization rates, and general financial flow of data to the P&L.



Responsibilities

    Participate in and assist with budgeting and forecasting process
  • Month-end accounting and journal entries
  • Prepare routine monthly and other ad hoc presentations in support of the operations function
  • Closely manage company KPIs and provide performance analysis to ensure visibility
  • Technology utilization - Accesses financial databases (manual and computerized) with intermediate or advanced competence. Use company furnished technology to accomplish position responsibilities and special assignments in an effective and timely manner.
  • Process improvements and quality - Participates in or initiates assignments to improve processes and/or quality. Participates in designing and drafting of department or Company procedures.
  • Must take initiative, be self -motivated, and an independent, accountable, dependable performer
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (preferred), finance or business.
  • CPA/CMA desired, but not required
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Exposure to multi-site manufacturing environment
  • Well-developed financial analysis capabilities with a solid understanding of GAAP requirements.
  • Ability to tackle complex issues with diverse groups of stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
  • Effective communicator with colleagues of all levels within the organization, as well as internal and external business partners

Physical and Mental requirements: Required to sit for extended periods of time.
