You would be responsible for maintaining system security and the technical design, planning, implementation, of security best practices. Recommends the design and configuration of operating systems and system management applications. Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership and management in order to provide a high level of service to the customers of the department. Responsibilities
Administering, monitoring, auditing, maintaining, and ensuring the security of the company's IT systems.
- Reviewing, recommending, and developing security policy, standards, procedures, and guidelines for utilizing agency security, including tools and methodologies.
- Developing, delivering, and presenting security program improvement, strategic and tactical plans to senior leadership.
- Researching and participating in security-related hardware and software procurement processes.
- Participate in the vulnerability assessment program, identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities across the organization's infrastructure.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to remediate vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
- Participate in incident response to effectively manage and mitigate cybersecurity incidents and breaches.
- Help develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures in compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Responsible for system patching to ensure the systems are on the latest firmware, HW, and OS versions
- Maintain configuration of the system infrastructure and hardware
Qualifications
- Minimum associate's degree in computer related discipline. Batcher's degree preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement based on years of experience.
- Minimum of Five years of work experience in complex systems design, programming, and OS support.
- Knowledge of: operating systems; current equipment and technologies in use; Windows server system administration, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring tools; effective project management techniques; principles and practices of effective management and supervision.
- Ability to: Plan, organize and document complex system design activities and to configure systems to be consistent with institutional policies/procedures; communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing; establish and maintain cooperation, understanding, trust and credibility; perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to emergency situations effectively.
- Experience with VMware and Cloud environments preferred.
- Experience with Cisco Meraki hardware preferred.
- Experience with Azure and Office 365 preferred.
