Position Purpose







This position is responsible for processing and data entering all personnel actions into the HR/Payroll system. The incumbent ensures that all data is correct and complete before entering into the HR/Payroll System and that all data is entered in a timely manner.









Nature and Scope







The position is responsible for entering all compensation changes, which includes pay for performance, competitive pay increases, employee status changes and terminations, transfers, supervisor changes, title changes, etc. Acts as liaison between HR Business Partners, recruiters and department leaders to ensure all transactions and questions are resolved promptly. Works closely with Compensation team to ensure pay changes have received proper approval.

This position may also assist with responding and resolving eligibility and enrollment inquiries about employee benefit programs.

This role requires efficient decision-making and coordination of conflicting workload priorities. The incumbent must be able to perform the functions quickly and accurately. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and work overtime. Must respond to employee and management requests in a timely manner, keep aware of current regulations and policies and procedures, process changes in an accurate and timely manner, and be proficient with applicable computer programs used to maintain data files and generate reports.

The incumbent is in a position of extremely high visibility to employees, outside agencies, and is frequently called upon to make written or oral presentations when necessary. High standards of courtesy, performance, human relations skills, and personal appearance are required. May be required to consult with legal counsel on some occasions.

The major challenge to this position is handling large volumes of detailed work while maintaining a high level of accuracy within established deadlines and is subject to numerous interruptions. The position must be able to handle questions and problems in an empathetic, professional, and effective manner.

Education:



Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.



Experience:



Experience in Human Resources required. Previous experience in a similar role will be given preference.



License(s):



None



Certification(s):



Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or other Human Resources professional certification preferred.



Computer / Typing:



Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
