Job Description

The Role:The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will lead the financial planning, forecasting, and analysis functions for the organization. This role is responsible for providing strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership, driving the budgeting process, and ensuring the financial health of the company. The Director of FP&A will oversee a team of financial analysts and managers, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and will play a key role in strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have direct experience with modern planning tools, implementing process improvements within the FP&A function and streamlining workflows for an improved stakeholder experience.

In-Office Position: At Strategy, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are in-office days with Fridays as work-from-home.

Your Focus:

  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support long-term planning and scenario analysis.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and the board of directors.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure financial discipline and accountability across the organization.
  • Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts and managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting tools, such as Excel and financial planning software.
  • Experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
