The Opportunity

This opportunity to join the Department of Pediatrics at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at the rank of Assistant Professor is an exciting one. Columbia University Irving Medical Center, one of the nation's foremost academic health science centers working together with one of the nation's premier health systems, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

The Division of Neonatology at CUMC in Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital is seeking a BC/BE neonatologist. This is an academic faculty position with a focus on clinical service and teaching in the NICU and Delivery Room. Excellent neonatology skills are required along with a commitment to teamwork and academic mission. The successful candidate will be appointed at the Assistant Professor level. Competitive salary, benefits, and support are offered commensurate with academic rank and experience. The successful candidate must be eligible to practice in New York State.

Key Responsibilities



  • Responsibilities will include service in our outstanding 75-bed level IV NICU and high-risk delivery service with >5000 deliveries per year.
  • Participation in weekday service and weekday, weekend and holiday call will be in an amount equal to other full-time clinical faculty.
  • Active participation in Departmental and Divisional faculty activities, meetings and conferences is required. University service and public engagement activities are also expected of faculty. You may be invited to participate in Divisional, Departmental and /or medical school committees.


Compensantion

Compensation arrangements are competitive and commensurate with both experience and achievement.

  • Must have a MD or DO degree and an active NYS Medical License.
  • Must have Board certification in Neonatology or an equivalent board certification with experience in the NICU with clinical training in pediatrics.
