Electric Boat Corporation (EB) is seeking a Program Representative for the Planning Yard and Fleet Support Engineering (D468) Special Missions Systems Program group to serve in a full time position supporting commissioned U.S. Navy submarines with providing direct support to NAVSEA PMS 390. This position is based in Groton, CT.

Department 468 is within EB's Life Cycle Support directorate, and is responsible for non-nuclear technical support for commissioned VIRGINIA, OHIO, and SEAWOLF Class submarines for maintenance planning and execution, in areas of drawing and material support, configuration management, and certification. The Undersea Mission Systems Group fulfills a key role in providing direct support to US Navy stakeholders for Deep Submergence Systems, Escape and Rescue Systems, and New Technologies (Dry Deck Shelters/Dry Combat Submersibles)

The Program Representative's primary responsibility will be to support the task planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting of work associated with the development, execution, and certification of Projects tasked by NAVSEA PMS390 to the Planning Yard. This type of work directly supports the Deep Submergence Systems - Scope of Certification special emphasis program (DSS-SOC), Escape & Rescue and New Technologies to be deployed on submarines (Dry Combat Submersible Vehicles, Dry Deck Shelters). The group will uphold the goal of providing 5-star customer service and supporting both Capability and Operational Availabilities to keep the in-service fleet mission ready and capable.

Duties Include:

    Develop and manage reporting metrics
  • Interface with design and engineering personnel to track product workflow, enable process improvements, and reporting of metrics
  • Assist with the development, coordination, and execution of meeting agendas and minutes in support of fleet support tasking
  • Participate in tasking progress reviews and scheduling of product deliverables
  • Provide cost, schedule, task status, updates to NAVSEA
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with external government stakeholders from PMS390 and USSOCOM and other NAVSEA entities as required.
  • Engage with vendors and industry partners, as necessary, to utilize the best resources to support schedule and cost.
  • Strategize and propose tasks/projects that acquire new work for the Planning Yard while best supporting our customers and end users.
  • Develop required training materials (as needed)
  • Travel periodically to support customer meetings


Qualifications

Required:

  • Masters of Science in a Business Related Degree
  • 7+ years of experience in the Hull Planning Yard/Fleet Support
  • Experience with submarine maintenance and modernization products (i.e., eLARs, eDFs, ShipAlts)
  • Microsoft Excel, Artemis, MRPII, Oracle experience
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Experience presenting to external stakeholders
  • Active DoD Security Clearance or ability to be granted a DoD Security Clearance

Preferred:

  • Microsoft Visio and Project experience
  • 3+ years of experience supporting the Life Cycle Support Directorate
