Position Summary

Lead all activities related to EGSE used in the FAL and all production lines.

Responsibilities



  • Serve as the primary point of contact in the clean room for all EGSE-related activities and provide support as needed.
  • Lead a team of EGSE technicians.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing engineering team, to ensure proper implementation of off-nominal instructions on EGSE.
  • Lead improvements in the FAL EGSE stemming from flight/ground designs or process changes.
  • Lead the EGSE maintenance, calibration, and related activities for the FAL.
  • Support new programs in assessing FAL workstations and processes alongside the FAL Manufacturing Support Manager.
  • Lead, organize, develop, and coach the FAL EGSE team. Support production engineers and technicians on all topics concerning EGSE.
  • Develop comprehensive familiarity and expertise with manufacturing processes, satellite configurations, and manufacturing process requirements related to electrical systems and EGSE.
  • Manage EGSE maintenance, schedule, calibration, repair, development, and implementation for the FAL.
  • Support any off-nominal EGSE required Design to Manufacture (D2M).



Qualifications

Education:



  • Associate's degree with 2 years' experience or a high school diploma with 3 years' experience.



Experience:



  • Hands-on experience with electrical ground support equipment.
  • Understanding of precision cleaning, and handling/maintaining clean hardware/systems.
  • Experience in the spacecraft/satellite business is a plus.
  • Experience working in a clean room environment.



Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:



  • Demonstrate ability to lead a team and organizational topics.
  • Demonstrate ability to plan/accomplish objectives while multi-tasking and prioritizing.
  • Must be able to review and understand both written and electronic procedures and technical documents.



Eligibility



  • U.S. Citizenship required.



Clearance



  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance highly desirable.



Physical Requirements



  • Carrying: able to carry documents and/or electronic equipment up to 20lbs/9kg.
  • Lifting: able to lift documents and/or electronic equipment up to 20lbs/9kg.
  • Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas.
  • Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at computer and in meetings.
  • Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
  • Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.
  • Walking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
