Position Title: General Laborers Wage: $25.50/Hour Shift: 2nd Shift Hours: 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM Monday - Thursday & Friday 2:00 PM - 7:30 PM Feeling underpaid or undervalued? This is a potential to hire position for 2nd shift. Apply now! General Laborers Responsibilities: - Prepare work center to run according to schedule and ensure production goals and standards are met - Provide support to machine operators and line leads to ensure workflow supports production goals and standards - Move material within or to/from workstations to meet operational needs - Scan work orders and complete paperwork as On-the-Job (OTJ) training requires within a reasonable timeframe - Follow proper processes for performing inspections, ensuring accuracy, and allowing for continuous monitoring for defects - Ensure any dust, dirt, excess glue, or other substances are removed from the product and prepared for shipment to the customer - Assist with material handling to provide continuous production at each work center and meet operational needs - Report problems to area lead or supervisor - Make recommendations through specified means of communication that support a lean and efficient manufacturing environment - Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout scheduled shift as well as perform cleaning duties at designated times to contribute to a safe environment - Contribute to team effort by working as areas directed and performing other duties as assigned and needed Requirements For General Laborers: - Some High School education, preferably at 10th grade level - Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred - Experience in air handling equipment preferred - Strong verbal communication skills - Able to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced work environment - Able to work independently and at an appropriate pace to meet productivity goals - Good problem-solving skills - Able to stand for duration of shift - Able to regularly lift 30-50lbs - Bend, twist, and turn regularly QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
