Summary: This person will provide engineering technical development, oversight, project execution, and project management responsibilities in support of new, commercially driven projects as well as operational capital and maintenance projects. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating and communicating with the various Energy Transfer commercial and operational groups to support business development and be expected to take a defined business commitment, apply basic engineering analytical concepts, and develop a project and engineering/execution plan for the successful completion of a project to meet the business objectives. This person will be expected to work with Energy Transfer's various customers, the general public, government agencies, and other stakeholders to communicate the project goals and objectives to advance the project from concept to design/engineering to construction. This person may be assigned to a major capital project as part of a project management team or to lead one or more projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Staff Project Manager is responsible for large gas processing and treating plant projects, NGL fractionation projects, or NGL export terminal projects, and will manage these capital growth projects and/or other operations or commercial-derived projects meeting project scope, budget, and schedule requirements. * Implement entire project cycle for growth capital projects including: scope and design development, AFE preparation and submittals, material procurement, execution and construction oversite, commissioning, and project completion. * Provide support during the development of construction agreements. * Work with (and guide) the Construction Group members in construction and inspection activities. * Projects are driven by cost and schedule to meet commercial commitments. * Communicate with project stakeholders including: operations personnel, cost controls, project controls, project planning, and contractors for project implementation. * Participate in PSM activities for growth projects and develop and implement PSM work, including Design reviews, PHAs, LOPAs, MOCs, training, etc. * Responsible for technical review of designs, drawings, and studies. * Ensure work complies with federal, state, and local regulations (including safety, environmental, and DOT) and internal policies and procedures. * Work with senior process engineers to develop projects that follow engineering standards, code compliance, proper company and safety standards, and good engineering practices. * Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen project management knowledge base and proficiencies. * Provide guidance and training to less experienced project engineers, to help develop their project engineering and project management skills.
Requirements: * Bachelor's in Engineering Discipline (ChemE or ME preferred) * Previous experience in Natural Gas treating, fractionation, or processing industry * 10+ years of combined engineering, operations, and/or project experience * Working knowledge of Microsoft Products and Engineering Programs Working Conditions: * Normal office working conditions or at the project site. * Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. * Overnight travel is required when necessary to manage projects. * Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, extreme temperature conditions, and loud machinery and require appropriate personal protective equipment. |
