Provides legal counsel to the corporation and its subsidiaries to ensure compliance of pension and welfare benefit plans with applicable federal and state laws, to represent the plans before government agencies and to defend the plans in contested matters. Essential Functions
Minimum Education Minimum Experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Minimum Education Juris Doctorate Degree and admission to the bar. Minimum Experience Significant legal experience with a minimum of six years in the practice of employee benefits and related tax law. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Comprehensive knowledge of employee benefits and related tax law. Excellent communications skills. Ability to comprehend complex federal and state laws, regulations and other agency pronouncements affecting employee benefit plans. Preferred Qualifications: Employee benefits experience required Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement. Pay: US Pay Range $11,546 - $23,091/ month Additional Details: The desired location for this hybrid position is Memphis TN. Open to Pittsburgh or DC. Candidates must live withina 50 mile radius and will be required to work at a FedEx Campus location several times per week.
