Position Summary Information


Primary Purpose
Responsible in providing support to a variety of analytical, technical, and administrative functions in the Office of Treasury and Investments. This includes but is not limited to accounting, reporting, and general investment monitoring. Act as backup for the Treasury and Investment staff, work on special projects, and other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions

  • Assists with monthly journal entries for banking and investment activity, preparation of cash flow forecasts, quarter-end and fiscal year-end journal entries, market value calculations, investment activity reconciliations, and other audit-associated tasks.
  • Primarily responsible for creation and review of electronic data files for upload of monthly investment activity.
  • Primarily responsible for control of support documents for monthly electronic data files.
  • Assists with the administration of planned giving and annuity funds, including completion of state and federal reports.
  • Provides support for debt administration, including lease financing and bond issues, and cash management programs, including short-term investment of working capital.
  • Backs up for processing electronic fund transfer requests, including wires and ACH transfers.
  • Provides support in analysis and other financial activities.
  • Assists with the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports on the investment pool and prepares ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Assists with preparation of materials for the Investment Committee of the Board of Regents.
  • Researches and respond to endowment and fund balance inquiries.
  • Performs administrative duties such as scanning, filing, and maintaining computerized records of investments.
  • Develops, recommends and implement document systems/processes to improve Treasury and Investment functions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Treasury and/or investment work experience preferred.
  • Skills/Knowledge and Expertise:
  • Detail-oriented with working knowledge on financial systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of university or other not-for-profit accounting preferred.
  • Solid computer skills, preferable MS Office with advanced skill in Excel.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to perform financial analysis and develop/streamline work processes.
  • Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
  • Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Work requires frequent sitting, standing, walking and of computer use and keyboarding. Occasional kneeling, bending, stooping and reaching. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
Hiring Range $22.68-$30.04 per hour. (We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.)
