Quality Manager

Develop and lead the QA team of Quality Supervisors, Quality Engineers, Technicians, Analysts and other staff. Utilize knowledge of Customer and Industry requirements to maintain and adapt Quality Processes and Procedures that result in world class Quality and Delivery performance. Work directly with the QA Leadership Team to propagate the vision of QA and support company objectives. Have an understanding of the broader business and ensure that decisions benefit Exotic as a whole.

Functions and Responsibilities

  • Enable individual growth as well as develop leadership qualities of team members.
  • Develop training programs for cross-training of Quality personnel and leadership.
  • Develop a shared vision of success and positive team behaviors.
  • Develop and lead Quality Engineering Team Leads and Supervisors through active coaching.
  • Promote effective collaboration and problem solving with associated teams, including Manufacturing, Marketing, Engineering, Production Control, and Supply Chain.
  • Support Lean and Flow objectives at interaction points between Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality.
  • Support development, pilot, and production program teams.
  • Assist with the forecasting and purchasing of Quality capital equipment.
  • Apply knowledge of Business Processes and Manufacturing methods to implement effective risk mitigation and corrective actions, understand the impact of actions taken, and mentor others.
  • Effectively manage costs and identify opportunities for increased efficiencies in the Quality Department.
  • Develop high performing QA teams to accomplish the following objectives:
    • Analyze quality metrics to develop action plans and utilize cross-functional teams to meet Quality department and company improvement goals.
    • Continuously improve inspection plan instructions and inspection efficiencies in terms of safety, quality, delivery.
    • Ensure development of cost-effective quality plans with an understanding of risks and mitigating factors.
    • Maintain merit status on all Nadcap Process audits. Ensure successful completion of all Customer and Third-Party process and product audits. Develop and maintain Quality System documentation and approvals to meet ongoing business needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business)
  • 5 years supervisory or leadership experience.
  • 10 years experience in Quality or Manufacturing.
  • Demonstrates pronounced leadership qualities and interpersonal awareness.
  • Wide degree of creativity.
  • Requires understanding and experience with concepts associated with Kaizen/Lean principles.

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California, Massachusetts, New York, Washington. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations.

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $101,874 - $169,885
