Posting Summary |
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Communications Assistant for the Center for Effective School Practices within the Rutgers Graduate School of Education. This part-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact educational initiatives and develop compelling content for diverse audiences.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Contributes to the creation of high-quality written content, promotional materials, and engaging social media posts.
- Promotes projects, educational resources, and lesson packages to K-12 educators and school administrators.
- Drafts, edits, and refines summary materials and lesson packages to ensure clarity, professionalism, and educator usability.
- Collaborates with the communications team to develop and implement tailored campaign strategies for research reports, initiatives, and events.
- Provides administrative and programmatic support to the Center and Institute, including assistance with the design and development of quarterly newsletters and press releases.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Two years relevant experience in an administrative function, good communication and interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience with newsletters, social media platforms, or educational outreach is a plus.

- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop engaging and professional content for educational and promotional purposes.
- Experience or interest in education and communication-related fields.
