Job Purpose

The Director of Fleet Management will oversee the efficient and effective operation of our fleet across the Super Regions. Reporting directly to the SVP of Field Operations, this role is critical in ensuring optimal fleet performance and leading the Region Fleet Managers (RFMs).

What you will do...

  • Lead and manage the Region Fleet Managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve market share, revenue and fleet efficiency goals.
  • Analyze fleet data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the FSC team to align fleet management practices with organizational goals.
  • Manage fleet budgets and capital expenditures, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Lead team's performance on Used Equipment Sales goals (Volume, Sales Channel Mix, Proceeds).
  • Manage FUR (fleet unavailable for rent) and Slow Rent fleet.
  • Monitor compliance and execute on YardWalk actions.
  • Build Fleet Acumen across regional operations teams (DMs, BMs, RFMs).
  • Collaborate with the FSC team to align fleet management practices with organizational goals.
  • Monitor fleet operations to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in fleet management or a similar role.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and implement effective strategies for fleet optimization.
  • Experience in budget management and cost control.
  • Knowledge of fleet management software and tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence without authority.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Pay Range: $120k - $150k
