Terros Health is hiring for a Manager, Ethics and Compliance position in Phoenix, AZ at our Central Corporate office. Full-Time; Monday-Friday Salary Range: $80K-$86K depending on years of experience 10+ years' experience in healthcare, with at least 3 of those years having supported regulatory, legal, contractual, or programmatic compliance 5+ years' experience in a leadership position required A strong understanding of patient rights, health care compliance and regulatory standards, and health care accreditation practices The Manager, Ethics and Compliance will ensure a culture of Compliance and Ethics is instilled and maintained across the organization. The MEC will develop, implement, and deliver on going ethics and compliance trainings for all staff, will oversee all compliance investigations and projects, will coordinate closely with Internal Counsel and the Privacy Officer, and will act as the primary contact and project manager for key compliance related projects - including ongoing CARF accreditation and other accreditation and regulatory oversight as needed. Duties include: Compliance and Ethics Program Development and Oversight:
- Foster and maintain a proactive, supportive, and partnership-based culture of compliance and ethics across the organization.
- Ensure adherence to regulations, policies, and procedures - often in conjunction with Internal Counsel, the Privacy Officer, and other stakeholders.
- Investigate compliance issues and complaints promptly and resolve with corrective actions when necessary.
- Provide guidance to staff on compliance matters.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance throughout the organization.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports.
- Host Quarterly Corporate Compliance Committees and other key compliance meetings as needed.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations affecting the healthcare industry.
Leadership:
- Supervise and manage Compliance Specialist(s), including hiring, training, and evaluating, and developing staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment and ensure team members are well-equipped to perform their duties effectively and consistently.
- Work proactively with cross-functional leaders and team members to ensure an effective Compliance and Ethics program that is consistently understood and adhered to throughout the organization.
Compliance and Ethics Training and Education:
- Stay up to date on compliance and ethics practices and provide continuous education and support to the Compliance team.
- Create and implement comprehensive compliance and ethics training programs for employees to enhance understanding of local, state, and federal regulations and laws, fostering a proactive and collaborative culture of compliance within the organization
- Ensure the provision of timely and effective ongoing training, along with written updates on pertinent regulations and policies.
Fraud, Waste and Abuse Oversight:
- Create and maintain effective systems and processes for FWA reporting mechanisms for employees, patients, and stakeholders.
- Ensure FWA reports are replied to, investigated, resolved, and reported timely and effectively.
- Prepare regular reports on FWA activities and trends for committee, board of directors, and senior management.
- Provide recommendations for improving compliance and ethics practices based on both FWA data analysis and industry best practices.
Corrective Action Plans, Performance Improvement Plans, and External Audits Oversight:
- Create and maintain effective systems and processes to monitor and facilitate resolution to externally imposed CAPs, PIPs, audit findings and similar functions.
- Serve as a project manager to assist internal teams and resources in addressing findings, ensuring adherence to specified deadlines and resolutions.
- Work closely with internal audit and risk management team members to provide aggregated data on trends regarding external findings and identified issues so that strategic risk management can take place to resolve any systemic issues
CARF oversight:
- Serve as the project lead responsible for ensuring compliance with CARF accreditation standards.
- Maintain year-round oversight structure and support for key CARF requirements.
- Provide a framework for checks and balances for key CARF functions to include Quality Assurance, Regulatory Compliance, Ethical Practices, Continuous Improvement, and Risk Management.
- Create highly effective and closely collaborative relationships with leaders from various departments and teams who own and maintain key day-to-day CARF related functions - act as support, reviewer, and strategic informant for their CARF related activities.
- Ensure triannual audit success by facilitating CARF assessment deliverables in a compliant and complete fashion, assisting other leaders in understanding requirements, and hostingcollaborative and functional internal discussions and project deliverable plans

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, legal or related field of study is required.Master's degree is preferred
At least 10 years' experience in healthcare, with at least 3 of those years having supported regulatory, legal, contractual, or programmatic compliance
At least 5 years' experience in a leadership position
A strong understanding of patient rights, health care compliance and regulatory standards, and health care accreditation practices
Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate others who are both within and outside of your direct reporting chain
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
Strong attention to detail, project and task management, and sense of urgency
Must have a valid Arizona driver's license, be 21 years of age with a minimum of 3 years driving experience, and meet requirements of Terros Health's driving policy
Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role
Must pass a drug screen and TB test
Will travel between Terros locations as needed, occasionally visiting various locations within a week or month
