Description
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible to the Site Manager for oversight of all T-45 Maintenance, Logistics, Administrative and Quality functions as outlined in the Government contracts. Responsible for the satisfactory completion of all job assignments of the assigned personnel to the RIT and processes to ensure safe, expeditious maintenance of assigned aircraft to support the T&E mission for VX-23 and NAVAIRWARCENACDIV at NAS Pax River. Must have the necessary skills to lead a small but highly skilled workforce in complying with established policies, procedures and operations to support the Navy's Flight Test and Evaluation Program at NAS Pax River. Ensure safe, quality maintenance/flight line operations to support the T-45 Program flight schedule. Requires a high degree of expertise in aviation maintenance. Must have an in-depth knowledge of applicable technical manuals, technical directives, maintenance manuals and maintenance action forms to include ISO 9110B standards. Must have the ability to use good judgement, make sound decisions and effectively direct the work of other employees. Must have the ability to accurately carry out written or verbal orders, instructions and directives. Must be customer oriented. Perform all duties of the job classification. Perform duties of NASPAX Site Manager in his/her absence. Assist site manager in planning, coordinating and directing the activities of the T-45 Team in the maintenance logistics support and operation of T-45 in support of flight test & operations. Assign and direct the productive efforts of assigned employees to ensure the timely completion of all required maintenance. Release aircraft Safe for Flight (SFF). Track all facets of aircraft maintenance to include Technical Directives, Phase Maintenance, IMP and Depot Level Maintenance. Direct day to day maintenance to meet flight schedule and flight test requirements. Authorize cannibalization actions as required. Instruct assigned employees on proper maintenance methods and procedures as required. Responsible for the satisfactory completion of assigned work and the preparation and maintenance of required records. Be familiar with in-depth use of OOMA NALCOMIS to include CM functions. Assist with supervising and performing the duties involving Calibration, IMRL, Tool Control Program, Shipping and Receiving, HAZMAT, HAZWASTE and inventory control. Perform duties of OPNAVINST 4790.2 Series NAMP program manager or monitor as required. Communicate with test engineers and directors with regard to aircraft modifications for RDT&E and ensure flight clearances and proper procedures are adhered within strict compliance. Formulate necessary reports to the Government and Company reporting requirements. Enforce foreign object damage (FOD), hazardous waste, and tool control programs. Lead training programs as required for employees assigned to him/her. Ensure required quality control inspections are complied with. Maintain appropriate records of all work accomplished. May be required to perform simple computer input functions. Perform other related duties as required, such as participate in the launch and recovery of aircraft. Assist as directed to ensure safety, security and preservation of Government/Company owned equipment. May be required to perform off-site service on assigned detachments. Comply with all established general and industrial safety rules and regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities and job assignment. Completion of high school or equivalent. Satisfactory completion of a military technical school such as US Navy AD, AM, AME, AE and AT "A" Schools. FAA A and P License desired, but not required. The Maintenance Supervisor shall possess an extensive background in the field of aircraft maintenance and material support with a minimum of ten years experience within the last 15 years in direct aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, and modification. Of the ten years' experience in aircraft maintenance, six years shall be in a supervisory position that included responsibility for assigning program workloads as well as duties for entire shifts. Two years of experience as a Maintenance/Production Control Supervisor is desired. The Maintenance Supervisor must have experience supervising daily flight operations personnel supporting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. The Supervisor must be knowledgeable of technical directives and COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series; be knowledgeable of and understand basic supply procedures. The Maintenance Supervisor shall have experience writing with clarity and technical accuracy. Must have completed all the Safe for Flight courses as required by the U.S. Navy or equivalent and possess knowledge working in a maintenance control environment.
