POSITION TITLE: RF Design Engineer CLASSIFICATION: Exempt POSITION OVERVIEW: ADB is a Nationwide full turnkey provider of technology infrastructure solutions including Wireline, Wireless, Technology, Critical Infrastructure, and Engineering. ADB is seeking an RF Design Engineer to join our National Services DAS team. This position will be responsible for the design of RF systems and hardware, including public safety repeater systems. The ideal candidate will have advanced technical expertise, with a strong work ethic and an ALL IN attitude to achieve results. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design DAS and public safety repeater systems through DAS design tools
- Assist with the creation of Method of Procedures (MOPs) and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) for assigned projects
- Ability to understand, identify, and/or resolve issues with Statement of Works, job specifications, and drawing (i.e. floor plans, rack elevation etc.)
- Commission and upgrade DAS hardware
- Diagnose and resolve wired and wireless cellular network problems using various diagnostic tools
- Ability to read floor plans and perform onsite wireless surveys using various types of cellular survey tools, such as PCtel
- Create site survey reports based on the collected RF data, identified interference, problem areas, and make recommendations to resolve issues
- Perform Constant Wave (CW) testing to ensure appropriate antenna function, engaging the installation team to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations and regulatory agencies
- Perform other position duties when requested

- Basic understanding of RF propagation and antenna patterns Knowledge of one or more of the following equipment vendors: Commscope/Andrew, Solid, JMA, Corning, & ADRF
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Proficient technical knowledge in network fundamentals of Cellular, Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and DAS Architecture
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This role operates out of ADB's corporate headquarters located at: 18777 U.S. Highway 66, Pacific, MO 63069
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, copiers, and cell phones
- May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels while onsite
- When working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel toed boots
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- 2-4+ years of technical experience required
- iBwave certification preferred
- Valid driver license required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
