Job Description Treasury, Taxation and Vehicles merges the functions of the County Clerk, Register of Deeds and Treasurer into one department. The department is responsible for recording and maintaining land record documents, motor vehicle titling and registrations, property tax calculations, billing and distributions. Johnson County Government's Treasury, Taxation and Vehicles Department is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Taxation Specialist. Responsibilities Include:
Answers phones, refers calls and customers; greets customers and gives standard information in response to phone, email, or in-person inquiries; serves as a subject matter expert; provides solutions and recommendations for complicated issues; tracks and monitors calls to provide quality control; provides training to other staff.
Job Requirements Minimum Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and one year of customer service or related experience are required. May require KS/MO driver's license, depending on department or agency. Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency. Education/Experience Substitutions: Experience may be substituted for degree. Education may be substituted for experience. Physical, Environmental, and Special Working Conditions: All County employees may be called upon to assist other departments in a declared emergency situation. |
