Summary
The Production Inspector is a member of the Quality Assurance Department. The Production Inspector plans and performs a sequence of operations, where standards or recognized operation methods are available and the making of general decisions as to quality and tolerances.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Promotes the Company's mission and values-based culture through ensuring quality standards are met.
- Reading, interpreting and applying inspection procedures, drawings and similar documents.
- Using measuring and gauges to determine product conformance.
- Inspects in one area, as required.
- Creates and maintains necessary inspection records.
- Obey safely rules at all times and report any unsafe acts or conditions.
- Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

Education and/or Experience
- Must have a minimum high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
Travel
Language Skills
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as well as ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure.
Reasoning Ability
- Must have the ability to define quality inspections
Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in the Report Manager and Microsoft Office.
Other Skills
- The ability to interpret blueprints, installation sheets and statistical analysis.
- Proficient in the use of material handling equipment.
- Capable of working with little or no supervision.
- Able to use various test and measuring equipment, I.E. Tape measure, micrometers, calipers.
- Familiar with different types of raw materials, welds and surface finishes.
