Job DescriptionApex Clean Energy is seeking a Director of Federal Affairs to support the expanding needs of our Government Affairs team. Working with the Government Affairs team and other subject matter leaders at Apex, this person will spearhead our policy and regulatory advocacy at the federal level. This is a great opportunity to help drive growth in the clean energy space. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned federal affairs professional with 8+ years of experience in government relations or public policy, including direct Capitol Hill or federal agency experience with a focus on federal energy policy. They bring a deep understanding of legislative and regulatory processes, a proven ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and a track record of effective advocacy. They are a strategic thinker, an excellent communicator, and are passionate about advancing the clean energy transition through smart, proactive federal engagement. Primary Responsibilities

Additional InformationWork Environment: Apex works primarily traditional office hours in an indoor office environment. Flexible work hours allowed when work duties and business operations permit. This is a remote role, ideally located in/near Washington DC.
