We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Hardware Diagnostic Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will be key in the development, bring-up, and troubleshooting of networking ICs and system-level hardware. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Ethernet SerDes diagnostics, PCIe Gen 5/Gen 6 bring-up, manufacturing test, and systems-level debugging. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead Diagnostics and Troubleshooting:

- Take ownership of diagnosing and resolving hardware issues at the system level for networking ICs and related hardware platforms.
- Collaborate closely with design, validation, and manufacturing teams to identify and resolve hardware failures.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts in the bring-up phase, including Ethernet SerDes and PCIe interfaces.
System Bring-Up:
-
- Oversee and participate in the bring-up of complex networking hardware systems, ensuring proper functioning of both Ethernet SerDes (100/200Gbps) and PCIe Gen 5/Gen 6 interfaces.
- Lead the effort to bring new networking ICs to life, from initial boot to full system validation.
Manufacturing Test Support:

- Develop and support manufacturing tests for high-speed networking systems.
- Implement and optimize diagnostic procedures to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Assist in the development of automated test setups to facilitate efficient manufacturing processes.
Design & System Integration:
-
- Work with hardware engineers to analyze and debug issues across the complete networking system.
- Contribute to the optimization and integration of Ethernet and PCIe-based systems.
- Use knowledge of high-speed digital designs to ensure that systems are meeting performance standards.
Collaboration and Leadership:

- Lead cross-functional teams through the diagnostic process, ensuring effective communication with hardware engineers, designers, and test teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and guide them through complex troubleshooting tasks.
- Document issues and troubleshooting steps to share best practices within the team.
Reporting and Documentation:

- Provide detailed technical reports and presentations on diagnostic findings.
- Document failure analysis, diagnostic procedures, and resolutions.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Technical Expertise:

- Strong knowledge and experience with Ethernet SerDes diagnostics, including high-speed signaling, link integrity, and performance troubleshooting.
- In-depth experience with PCIe Gen 5/Gen 6 bring-up, debugging, and troubleshooting, including signal integrity, protocol analysis, and hardware failure analysis.
- Hands-on experience with system-level hardware debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, and other advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Understanding of high-speed digital design, signal integrity, and system timing analysis.
Desirable Skills:

- Experience with advanced FPGA-based systems.
- Familiarity with networking protocol analyzers and advanced debugging techniques.
- Experience with low-level firmware debugging in hardware bring-up scenarios.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a high-paced development environment.
- Troubleshooting and Debugging Skills:
- Expertise in identifying and resolving issues related to high-speed signal integrity, power delivery, and clocking in complex systems.
- Strong debugging skills using both hardware and software tools.
- Experience developing and optimizing test strategies for networking hardware, ensuring quality and reliability from prototype to full-scale production.
Software and Tools:

- Develop and maintain Linux kernel drivers, low-level system software, and hardware abstraction layers for early hardware bring-up and diagnostics
- Proficiency with test automation software and scripting (Python, LabVIEW, etc.).
- Familiarity with hardware diagnostic tools (e.g., TDR, BERT, JTAG).
