Cencora are looking for a Senior Director Finance - Global Functions to join the team hybrid based in Conshohocken, United States.

This is a highly visible role working with Executive Leadership Team (ELT) members. The successful candidate will be someone who can confidently understand the data and then present and get buy in from the ELT. This role offers excellent potential for growth.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading Enterprise IT (DBS) business case development, validation, and oversight; challenges business case assumptions and benchmarks to ensure accuracy and increase realization.

  • Oversees the development and preparation of all DBS fiscal budgets with direct input from VP, CIO, and DBS VP Lead Team as well as ABC Corporate guidance.

  • Directs the detailed monthly, quarterly and annual financial analysis and reporting for DBS and presents to various leadership stakeholders including DBS Leadership, ABC, D&S and C&A senior finance teams.

  • Provides leadership and management of the IT Finance staff that handles all financial reporting and analysis for the DBS function. Includes strategy and objective setting, professional development, coaching and engagement.

  • Using Technology Business Management tools, establishes strategic principles and oversees the allocations and chargebacks to the various ABC business units, reviewing their accuracy and analyzing / communicating the results.

  • Works collaboratively with the various Finance and Accounting functions within the business units to understand the drivers for IT spend and analyze areas for efficiency.

  • Leads the development and implementation of cross business unit IT Finance policies and procedures to ensure consistency and governs adherence along with applicable ABC financial policies.

  • Coordinates with DBS leadership to develop and refine all DBS budgets. Provides oversight for the overall management of all DBS cost centers and reviews the monthly financial forecasts for all DBS cost centers.

  • Responsible for overseeing the IT Finance systems and tools strategy including maintenance and continuous improvements.

  • Leads the preparation of a variety of ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis as required to support the senior management group within DBS, the BUs and ABC Corporate.

  • Coordinates and makes recommendations in the development of long-range plans

    Experience & Education requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is required.

    • MBA or CPA is strongly preferred

    • Normally requires a minimum of twelve (12) years related and progressively responsible related experience including at least five (5) years in leadership position.

    Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability requirements:

    • Knowledge of various financial and information management areas such as accounting principles, cost accounting, plan development, resource utilization, productivity and profitability analysis, estimation and scope management techniques.

    • Outstanding knowledge of data analysis, data mining tools including data warehouse applications, MS Access, MS Excel, and other query and reporting tools.

    • Experience interacting with executive management and explaining complex alternative financial models to senior level audiences.

    • Ability to apply fact-based analytical techniques.

    • Demonstrated ability to perform detailed and complex financial modeling for future state business designs.

    • Demonstrated ability to work flexibly on multiple projects.

    • Understanding of ABC policies, philosophy, goals and objectives in order to affect financial oversight in protecting the company's assets.

    • Working knowledge of financial and planning software packages.

    • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate an effective team.

    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

    • Ability to follow and interpret profit and loss statements

    • Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills

    • Self-motivated and ability to work independently

    • Strong interpersonal skills

    • Strong mathematical and analytical skills

    • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
