Grain Millers, Inc. is a leading manufacturer and merchandiser of whole grain ingredients utilized in food products served around the world. While you may not know us directly, you almost certainly know our products. We have supplied food ingredients to virtually every large food company in the world for over 37 years. We employ nearly 1000 associates throughout North America. Our Eden Prairie, MN headquarters is the hub of our support infrastructure. Our manufacturing facilities are in MN, IA, WI, IN, OR and Canada.

Why we need you.

We are seeking a Quality Specialist to join our CPG division to help maintain the high standards our customers expect. In this role, you'll support quality and compliance activities by managing customer specifications, overseeing supplier and ingredient approvals, coordinating certifications, and ensuring product changes are properly documented. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help us deliver safe, consistent products.

Who you'll be working with.

You will be based out of our Eden Prairie, MN office and report to the Director of Quality & Product Development. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with a variety of teams including Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain. You'll also interact with external customers, suppliers, third-party co-packers, and certification bodies. As part of our cross-functional teams, you'll have the opportunity to drive projects, participate in audits, and contribute to the development of new processes that strengthen our operations.

You are a detail-oriented, motivated self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to professionally interact with vendors, customers, and third parties. You are passionate about quality, compliance, and continuous improvement. Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, you are ready to play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards and help drive the future success of Grain Millers.



  • Manage and maintain customer specifications and document management systems, ensuring timely updates and reviews.
  • Support ingredient, packaging, and finished product specification development and distribution.
  • Assist with supplier and co-packer approvals through risk assessments, document reviews, and site visits or audits.
  • Handle consumer inquiries and drive complaint investigations, resolutions, and trending with manufacturing sites.
  • Manage certifications and partnerships, including kosher, organic, and Whole Grain Council programs.
  • Support product and artwork change management, ensuring all updates are communicated and documented properly.
  • Participate in internal, customer, and external audits, gathering records and supporting compliance with standards.


What you bring.



  • Bachelor's degree in food science or other related technical field.
  • 3-5 years' experience in the food industry, preferably in a quality assurance role.
  • Food Safety Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with vendors, customers, and third parties in a professional manner.
  • Detail oriented, motivated and a self-starter.
