Job Overview

The PCX Electrical Assembler 1 is responsible for completing all assigned work according to specifications in a high quality and safe manner. The Electrical Assembler 1 is proficient in reading assembly documentation and providing high quality work with guidance. The Electrical Assembler 1 can properly cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires from component to component while maintaining PCX's quality standards. The Electrical Assembler 1 is required to follow the instructions of the electrical supervisor and suggest improvements.

A Day In The Life

  • Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
  • Must be able to read and understand posted bulletins, regulations, rule books, manufacturer manuals, and work instructions
  • Complete required documentation (Timesheets, material usage, etc.)
  • Able to lift 35 pounds consistently and team lift 70 pounds
  • Should have ability to read assembly documentation and provide high quality of work with guidance.
  • Ensures and double checks that materials are correct and documentation is current
  • Can properly cut, strip, crimp and terminate wires from component to component
  • Defers to lead for any discrepancies before taking action to remedy problems
  • Desire to produce quality products to be used in larger assemblies
  • Ability to read wire tables, line diagrams and ensure wire is properly terminated
  • Ability to work on ladders (up to 10 feet), lifts (with harness) and stand or sit for long periods of time
