Job Title: Part time Psychiatrist

Location: Chillicothe OH 45601

Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Hours/week: 16 hours/week

Duration: 6 months to Long term

Position Overview:

We are seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Psychiatrist to provide part-time (minimum 2-day shifts/week) or full-time on-site psychiatric services to the male population at a correctional facility in OH. Full-time providers may also support nearby facilities through telehealth or in-person services.

Roles and Responsibility:

• Working collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment for patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system.
• Conducting exams and writing evaluations and reports.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing.
• Managing medication.
• Completing reclassifications and other reviews as indicated.
• Making referrals for specialized care or treatment.
• Performing duties in accordance with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures, protocols, and related American Correctional Association standards.
• Participating in Continuous Quality Improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews.

• Ohio Medical License.
• Drug Enforcement Administration certification.
• Healthcare-professional level BLS/CPR certification.
• Copy of Board Certification.
