As a Director, Manufacturing Finance - ASPEX, you will lead the Finance function for the Alcon Manufacturing Plant. You will oversee financial reporting; planning and analysis; capital appropriation request preparation; and internal control for the plant. Ensure compliance to all company policies and advise plant management on financial strategies. As a member of the Site Leadership Team, you will contribute to establishing and accomplishing facility and divisional goals in Fort Worth, TX. In this role, a typical day will include:
Represent the financial function in strategy setting; provide direction for growth of the organization. Contribute to development of annual site strategic plan to meet short term and long-term business objectives. Develop, implement and oversee annual budget process for Manufacturing & Quality. Monitor costs, identify variances, and facilitate initiation of corrective actions to meet business goals. Provide financial leadership for the manufacturing site to achieve business goals. Work with the GM and site management team to develop and achieve long term financial objectives; support business decisions requiring a financial/business assessment. Position finance as an effective and valued business partner within the organization. Actively manage risks and opportunities to ensure financial objectives are met. Formulate capital expenditure plan to support the plant's strategic and operational capital investment requirements. Ensure the accuracy, integrity and analysis of financial reporting is maintained in accordance with IAS and Alcon Accounting Manual. Establish accurate standard costs and inventory valuation for Manufacturing. Ensure uncompromising integrity, clear and timely internal controls and financial compliance process. Manage Legal Entity Compliance & External relationships. Ensure tax and statutory compliance for the legal entity, contract reviews, leases, etc. Responsible for External Supply Organization Financials, as determined by the organization. Develop and implement succession plans to develop a talent pipeline for the site, and for the company. Ensure associates receive training and development to acquire knowledge, skills and experiences required for the current and future success of the business. Ensure that facilities align with HSE standards at all levels of the organization and remain audit ready. Conduct business in accordance with what we value and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies Ensure associates have tools and equipment needed to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
Preferred qualifications:
Ability to set out a strategic plan for the future. Able to provide insights at Site leadership level. Ability to work well in and manage a team, ability to develop and empower staff of different skill levels directly & indirectly. Good knowledge of Manufacturing/Engineering and other departmental processes. Manufacturing Finance experience a plus. Flexibility to respond to a constantly evolving business environment. Ability to remain impartial and handle critical / confidential information. Proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing, and accounting software, SAP experience a plus.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD+6 yrs) The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English. 10 Years of Relevant Experience 6 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
