The Lead Graphic Designer is a key contributor on Bonterra's Brand design team, reporting directly to the Director of Design. This role blends hands-on design expertise with creative ownership across strategic commercial marketing and Go-To-Market (GTM) initiatives, with a primary emphasis on video design, editing, motion graphics, and animation. You'll lead engaging video projects, including campaign visuals, customer storytelling, and product demos, ensuring accessible design and visual consistency across Bonterra's growing family of brands. Additionally, you'll support traditional content and promotional needs, collaborating across the organization to maintain quality, cohesion, and accessibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, design, and produce high-quality videos, animations, and motion graphics.

  • Lead creative direction for all video-based content, equally supporting commercial marketing and GTM programs.

  • Collaborate closely with content strategists, marketers, GTM teams, and creative teams to deliver compelling visual storytelling.

  • Produce compelling product demo videos to showcase product features and functionalities clearly and effectively.

  • Edit and refine video projects, managing all aspects of video post-production.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and continuously improve techniques and workflows in video and animation.

  • Provide support in traditional graphic design projects and promotional materials as needed, ensuring cohesive representation across commercial marketing and GTM initiatives.

  • Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering skill development in video design and motion graphics.

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of professional experience specializing in video design, editing, motion graphics, and animation.

  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Familiarity with Figma, Cinema 4D, Slack, and project management tools like Wrike preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience creating engaging video content and motion graphics for marketing, social media, and digital platforms, preferably within technology, software, media, marketing, or SaaS industries.

  • Strong creative vision with the ability to translate concepts into visually compelling video content.

  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills, able to clearly articulate ideas and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Portfolio showcasing exceptional video editing, animation, and motion graphics capabilities.

  • Experience mentoring or leading design teams preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Film Production, or related field preferred; relevant certifications a plus.

  • Experience giving feedback on front-end design for website experiences and collaborating with web development teams.

Compensation

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and in addition to benefits this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity.

US Base Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000
