The IT Asset Coordinator position is unique in that it fulfills two roles within a group in Information Technology Solutions (ITS) that supports the School of Medicine (SOM) and UCR Health. This role will serve as the IT Asset Coordinator, specifically supporting the SOM and UCR Health, as well as providing Help Desk support for both the SOM and UCR Health. This position will be responsible for overseeing and managing the SOM's and UCR Health's hardware inventory, specifically laptops/desktops and mobile devices, and other IT resources, ensuring they are properly tracked, maintained, and used efficiently throughout their lifecycle, from procurement to disposal. The coordinator will maintain a loaner inventory for use when necessary, and maintain the asset inventory system, and tag all SOM/UCR Health devices. The incumbent will also focus on optimizing resource use, minimizing costs, and ensuring compliance with contracts, policies, and procedures. The IT Asset Coordinator will provide ad-hoc reports on inventory status to ITS and SOM leadership. In addition, this position will provide first-level technical support to end-users in the SOM and UCR Health, primarily focusing on resolving common issues with computer hardware, software, applications, and network access. He/she/they will troubleshoot problems, guide users through solutions, and escalate complex issues to higher-tier support teams.

This position is classified as on-site.

The full salary range for the IT Asset Coordinator is $29.59 to $45.05 per hour. However, the pay scale for this position is UP TO $35.60 per hour. UCR bases salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, UCR is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
