Your role on the team:


  • Actively works with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure strategic sourcing and supplier management programs deliver cost optimization while meeting GEODIS' operational requirements; Builds strong relationships with strategic vendors and PACS operations leadership
  • Ensures vendors meet organizational and customer quality requirements and operate under agreed commercial terms; Visits vendor manufacturing sites to inspect material production for specific initiatives
  • Leads material initiatives through the entire sourcing life cycle to optimize the supply base and maximize value for GEODIS
  • Interfaces with customers and GEODIS leadership to ensure production initiatives are achievable within quality and timeline requirements
  • Analyzes short and long-term initiatives; Adjusts planning methodology to stay ahead of evolving business requirements
  • Obtains vendor quotes and establishes delivery schedules based on production timelines; Adjusts vendor processes or schedules to align deliveries with the productivity of operations and re-schedule changes driven by the customer
  • Builds safety stock across all material categories to ensure production continuity, prevent discarded waste while avoiding increased holding cost; Collaborates with Inventory and Receiving departments to ensure the correct products and materials are ready for production consumption
  • Establishes vendor quality checks and audits to validate packaging quantities, design and performance meets the customer's requirements
  • Deliver training to the customer and operational team members to share material specification and handling requirements
  • Establishes Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for assigned initiatives and track performance in coordination with operational stakeholders and customers; Develops reports and interprets vendor performance metrics to identify future process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned


What you need:



  • Minimum 4 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience


  • Experience working with vendors


  • Great customer service experience


  • Project management experience is preferred


  • PC literate with a command of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio


  • Ability to write detailed reports and correspondence


  • Time management/balancing multiple priorities


  • Problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills


  • Ability to provide clear and direct communications both verbally and in written form


  • Adaptable to highly fast pasted and dynamic environments


  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage own work


  • Self -motivated and able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment


  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the public


  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations


  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists


  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
