About the role

The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe, environmentally sound and efficient daily operation of the facility and the industrial systems and equipment associated with Reworld's processes.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform daily routine inspections of assigned equipment and fills out necessary log sheets according to procedures
• Perform troubleshooting on equipment and reports all malfunctioning equipment through the issuance of work orders
• Perform checks as required by the weekly activities book, the monthly critical items check list, etc.
• Perform lockout and tagout of equipment in support of maintenance activities
• Maintains proper fuel, lubricant and oil levels for operation of assigned equipment
• Maintains cleanliness of equipment and an orderly work area

• Determine the tools, parts, supplies, and equipment necessary to perform assigned jobs

• Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations

• GED/High School Diploma, preferred

Reworld offers GED Works - a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.

• Valid driver's license
• Must have experience operating heavy industrial equipment, mechanical experience preferred.
• Previous experience with rigging
• Previous excavator experience

• Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
• Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
• Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
• Qualify to wear a full-face respirator
• Consistently work in various weather conditions

Shift:

• Rotating shift, must be available days, nights, weekends and holidays
