Job Description

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Technical Program Manager (multiple openings) in Foster City, CA to

  • Responsible for the execution of one or more well-defined projects, under direct guidance of manager or PM lead.
  • Participate in project scheduling and budgeting, and prepare analysis in support.
  • Persistently communicate and address obstacles delaying projects from delivering against objectives.
  • Effectively communicate via reporting, notes, documentation, FAQs, escalations, and more.
  • Support Visa PMM required project gates and artifacts, fiscal management, and work estimation.
  • As a Scrum Coach, facilitate multiple teams and work cross-functionally to ensure quality and timely delivery into our production systems.
  • Participate in PM relevant improvement initiatives.
  • Domestic travel may be required.
  • Position reports to the Foster City, California office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Project Management, Information Technology, or related field, followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a technical program/project manager or software engineer-related occupation.
  • Alternatively, employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Project Management, Information Technology, or related field and 2 years of experience in a technical program/project manager or software engineer-related occupation.
  • Position requires experience in the following:
  • Project management tools (Jira, Clarity, Microsoft Office, Project, Access, and Power Bi);
  • Familiarity with Software development life cycle and associated tools (Bit Bucket, Jenkins, and Github);
  • Understanding and practicing Project Management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall or SAFe);
  • Familiarity with managing Cloud technology projects that use AWS/GCP/Azure;
  • Understanding of infrastructure/Hardware deployment life cycles; and
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or PERL.
Additional Information

Worksite: Foster City, CA

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: Domestic travel may be required.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $157,373.00 USD to $221,400.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity.
