Business Systems Analyst

CSCI is seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst with deep expertise in business process analysis and Department of Defense (DoD) requirements. This role plays a pivotal part in aligning system capabilities with mission objectives by defining systems scope, analyzing requirements, and identifying process improvements that drive enterprise efficiency. As a key member of a collaborative project team, the analyst will provide subject matter expertise to support successful solution delivery, offer technical and functional guidance, and ensure compliance with DoD lifecycle and acquisition management frameworks. This includes preparing documentation in accordance with DAMIR and DAES OSD formats and utilizing tools such as ARIS and SAP to support enterprise workflows.

• Define systems scope and objectives based on a deep understanding of business processes and DoD requirements
• Analyze and document business needs, system requirements, and process improvements
• Provide technical and functional guidance within project teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions
• Prepare documentation and reports in accordance with DoD standards, including DAMIR and DAES OSD formats
• Use systems such as ARIS and SAP to support enterprise business functions and workflows
• Ensure compliance with DoD lifecycle and acquisition management frameworks

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in business systems analysis
• Certification: Must hold a recognized Project Management certification (e.g., PMP or equivalent)
• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Extensive knowledge of DoD Lifecycle Management, including DoD 5000.1, 5000.2, and the associated Guidebook
• Familiarity with the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process
• Hands-on experience with ARIS system engineering tools and SAP ERP products
• Proficient in Defense Acquisition Management Information Retrieval (DAMIR) and DAES OSD reporting formats
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Project Management tools
• Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
• Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional presence

• Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
• Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
• Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
• Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
• Past experience working with a federal agency
• Department of Defense experience is a plus!
