Instructional Systems Specialist (Journeyman)

Culmen International is hiring an Instructional Systems Specialist (Journeyman) to provide support for the Research Directorate at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division and will be onsite in Lakehurst, NJ.

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst (LKE) Mission Operations & Integration (MO&I) Department. NAWCAD LKE is the lead activity responsible for Navy Aircraft Platform Support Equipment (SE), Aircraft Launch Recovery Equipment (ALRE), and provides support to additional Joint Service, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and Department of Defense (DoD) programs. The successful execution of these efforts results in logistics, engineering, and cyber work products for each aircraft and associated support systems.

Will work with Senior Instructional System Specialist
• Create and edit training documentation for various audiences, including trainee and instructor guides
• Will create outlines, scripts, storyboards, testing, visual aids, and interactive media
• Collaborate with SME to develop technically accurate training materials
• Knowledge of IAW with NAVEDTRA requirements and schoolhouse specifications
• Evaluate training systems, products, courses, and / or activities to meet learning objectives
• Perform testing and qualitative evaluations of end-user attainment of learning objectives
• Perform duties in support of Training Branch efforts to include DoD Manpower, Personnel & Training (MPT) products, Navy Training System Plan (NTSP)
• Project data analysis
• Coordination of meetings and events

• 3+ years of experience in training analysis, design, development of training materials for military specifications and standards, schoolhouse instructions
• Must have strong writing and editing skills
• Must have understanding of adult learning principles
• General knowledge of Content Planning Module / Learning Object Module (CPM/LOM)
• BS / BA in instructional design, teaching, English, Journalism, or discipline with strong focus on writing / editing written documents
• Active Secret Clearance
