Operative Clinical Technician: PRN

The Operative Clinical Technician supports the nurse in the Operating Room in medical procedures for pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Working under close supervision, this role ensures that the Operating Room is clean and safe in line with hospital and Infection Control guidelines.


Ensures that the Operating Room is clean and safe in accordance with the hospital and Infection Control guidelines in order to provide a sterile environment.
Prepares rooms for new patients as directed by the nurse to provide sufficient room availability for upcoming surgeries.
Relocates Operating Room equipment to various locations in the hospital so that nurses are provided with all necessary sterile equipment for surgery.
Provides care for patients under the supervision of the nurse in order to organize patient care plans and treatments.
Monitors supply levels of necessary items like linens to provide a comfortable environment for patients.
Handles the responses to requests for the transportation of specimens, patients, and labs in order to connect the proper resources with patient needs.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required: BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
