    | The Child Life Specialist will be responsible for supporting patients and families in our high acuity Medical and Surgical Intensive Care (MSICU) units. We are looking for an experienced CCLS to participate in therapeutic activities to support patients and their families when facing trauma/grief, complicated diagnosis and highly acute medical situations. Working with a team of other Child Life Specialists, together the team will responsible for facilitating coping, preparation and education related to the hospital experience. 
 Key Responsibilities:
 The Child Life Specialist will be responsible for:
 
      Minimum Qualifications Education:Participating in therapeutic activities and programs to meet patients' psychosocial and developmental needs, and facilitating adjustment to health care experiences for patients.Serving as member of multidisciplinary team.Delegating work assignments to volunteers and participating in clinical training of student interns. Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Child Life, or a closely related field with a concentration in child life.
 600-hour Child Life internship under the supervision of a certified child life specialist.
 
 Experience:
 General skills to resolve problems requiring the use of child development theory, professional child life principles, and experiencedbased knowledge.
