Overview

Are you passionate about shaping the future of healthcare through applied artificial intelligence and machine learning?

We're looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer who thrives at the intersection of applied data science, scalable systems, and intelligent automation. In this role, you'll design, deploy, and optimize production-grade AI and ML services that drive improved clinical and business outcomes.

You'll collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and clinicians to build robust pipelines and intelligent services using AWS SageMaker, Snowflake Cortex, Palantir AIP, Airflow, and GitLab CI/CD. You'll help advance both traditional ML models and next-generation AI applications, ensuring all systems are reliable, observable, and responsibly deployed. What You Will Do

  • Design and optimize MLOps pipelines using Airflow, SageMaker, and GitLab CI/CD, emphasizing automation, observability, and reproducibility.

  • Lead technical design and implementation of production ML systems, including data pipelines, training workflows, and inference services.

  • Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize advanced ML and AI models, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability.

  • Implement context- and prompt-engineered AI components where applicable, integrating foundation models into existing ML ecosystems.

  • Design and implement AI-powered services using Snowflake Cortex and Palantir AIP.

  • Contribute to system architecture and platform reliability, making key technical decisions that enable sustainable AI/ML operations.

  • Mentor junior engineers and data scientists on software engineering best practices, testing, and deployment.

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards for explainability, auditability, and responsible AI/ML (e.g., ONC DSI and FAVES standards).

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline preferred

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience building and deploying production ML systems required

  • Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow)

  • Demonstrated experience leading MLOps development, including model training, inference, monitoring, and CI/CD automation

  • Proficiency with containerized services (Docker, SageMaker, MLflow) and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

  • Skilled in SQL, dbt, and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow)

  • Experience with prompt or context engineering for applied LLM use cases preferred

  • Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms such as Snowflake Cortex or Palantir AIP preferred

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and clinical stakeholders

  • Experience in healthcare AI or regulated ML systems preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • AWS certifications (e.g., Machine Learning Specialty, Solutions Architect) preferred


Pay Range

USD $122,300.00 - USD $205,000.00 /Yr.
