Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Molding Manager to oversee and manage the molding operations in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molding processes, leadership experience, and a commitment to producing high-quality products. As the Molding Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient and safe production, maintaining quality standards, managing a team, and driving continuous improvement in our molding processes.

Responsibilities:



  1. Production Management:


    • Oversee the daily operations of the molding department to ensure the timely and efficient production of molded products.
    • Monitor and adjust molding processes to maintain product quality and optimize production yields.
    • Ensure production schedules are met while adhering to safety and quality standards.


  2. Team Leadership:


    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of molding operators and technicians, providing training and guidance to improve performance and efficiency.
    • Foster a positive and productive work environment through clear communication and teamwork.
    • Conduct performance reviews and implement improvement plans when necessary.


  3. Quality Control:


    • Ensure that all molded products meet or exceed quality specifications and customer requirements.
    • Perform regular inspections and audits to identify potential defects and resolve production issues.
    • Collaborate with the quality control team to implement corrective actions and continuous improvements.


  4. Process Improvement:


    • Identify and implement process improvements to increase production efficiency, reduce scrap, and minimize downtime.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new molding technologies to enhance operational performance.
    • Develop and implement best practices for molding processes and materials
    • handling.


  5. Safety and Compliance:


    • Ensure that all molding operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
    • Lead safety training programs and enforce safe work practices in the molding department.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.


  6. Inventory and Resource Management:


    • Manage inventory levels of materials, tools, and equipment required for molding operations.
    • Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
    • Monitor equipment maintenance schedules and ensure proper functioning of molding machines.


  7. Reporting and Documentation:


    • Maintain accurate records of production data, including batch reports, machine performance, and any production issues.
    • Prepare and present regular performance reports to upper management, highlighting key metrics, production outcomes, and areas for improvement.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in polyurethane molding or a related manufacturing field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of polyurethane molding processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Experience with process improvement, lean manufacturing, and quality control methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to meet production goals and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing environments.


Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) when required.
  • Comfortable working in a factory or industrial environment with exposure to machinery and noise.


Work Environment:



  • Manufacturing facility with regular exposure to mold production processes, machinery, and chemicals.
  • Adherence to strict safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage is required.
