Position Summary The Network Administrator II will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure, services, and policies, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure and Office 365 administration. This position will primarily focus on cloud-based solutions while also supporting on-premises network administration as needed. What will you do in this role?
- Design, implement, and maintain the company's Azure services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, Microsoft Well Architected Framework and other industry best practices.
- Administer Entra Id, including SAML, OAuth, and SCIM integrations, app registrations, group management.
- Manage and configure cloud virtual infrastructure, including Azure Virtual Desktop pools, published apps, storage systems, backups, and remote applications.
- Facilitate internal use of cloud infrastructure by establishing policies and helping develop solutions in alignment with the organization's security requirements.
- Oversee device management systems including Microsoft Intune and ConnectWise Automate. Develop, configure, and maintain compliance policies, application packaging, inventory, and device settings.
- Perform tenant-level administration within Microsoft 365 admin centers for multiple tenants across Microsoft's Commercial Cloud, GCC, and GCC High.
- Implement identity management solutions, integrating internal asset systems, dynamic groups, and on-premises Active Directory.
- Develop and maintain custom PowerShell scripts for task automation, issue resolution, and reporting.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, best practices, and changes related to cloud infrastructure and Office 365.
- Provide recommendations to guide the company's direction on technological investments.
- Plan and execute complex, multi-stakeholder projects that align with business needs and create detailed documentation.
- Provide tier-2 and tier-3 escalated support, managing and servicing tickets sent to the Infrastructure queue.
- Serve as a point of contact for critical outages or alerts, both during and outside of business hours.
- Assist with day-to-day tasks, support tickets, maintenance, and additional projects as needed.
- Provide support for on-premise network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, VPNs, DHCP, and network monitoring devices.
- Take full ownership and accountability for all assigned network systems, devices, and infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability at all times.
What do you need to succeed in this role?
- Bachelor's degree or 5+ year relevant work experience.
- 3+ years of experience administering Azure services in a medium to large organization.
- 3+ years of experience managing Microsoft 365 and Intune.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft licensing models and the ability to navigate and interpret various licensing structures.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud network design and architecture.
- Advanced experience in cloud networking, identity management, and automation.
- Experience managing Windows domains, including Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for automation and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex network and cloud-based issues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and support technical teams.
