Summary
Responsible for dissecting/preparing/storing an incoming tissue specimen. Need to have in-depth knowledge of human neuroanatomy. This role works independently, under direct and indirect supervision, and performs technical and clerical tasks required for the efficient functioning of the department. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Prepare the Dissection Lab for the arrival of a tissue specimen. -Dissect and store the specimen according to standardized protocols. -Take required tissue quality control measurements. -Clean the Dissection Lab, ensuring all biohazard materials are appropriately stored or disposed of. -Attend monthly meetings. Education Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes Licenses and Credentials Experience Previous Research experience 1-2 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Ability to work independently and on a team. - Must demonstrate attention to details and accuracy in data entry. - Using scientific rules and methods to solve problems. - Knowledge of human neuroanatomy.
