To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Finishing and/or Deburring
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during the finishing process.
  • A clear understanding of internal flow passages and sealing surfaces.
  • Familiarity with basic inspection equipment (Microscope, gages, borescopes, etc.)

As a Master Finisher, you will:

  • Regularly work under a microscope operating under 5x - 30x.
  • Work from oral instructions, blueprints, sketches and plastic bodies to plan entire sequence of work performed.
  • Select, sharpen and/or make special tooling as required, select lighting aids and visual magnification as required to meet blueprint and/or engineering specifications.
  • Responsible for providing guidance, support, and collaboration with colleagues who are a lower level of experience or skill.
  • Use adjustable measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and basic gaging to size parts.
  • Collaborate with engineering to provide input on feasibility of certain finishing techniques or materials as well as collaborate on problem solving and optimization of the finishing process.
  • Maintaining a clean and controlled work environment.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and quality checks throughout finishing process.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $28.00-$32.00 Hourly

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
