Job Summary Responsible for strategy, design, and administration of qualified and nonqualified retirement plans and associated employee financial wellness strategy. Manages vendors, directs communication plans, ensures compliance with applicable laws, and monitors the financial performance and efficacy of plans. Oversees annual enrollment and analyzes employee benefit plans to ensure they are cost effective and incorporate employee tools. Coordinates, trains staff and delegates support work. May assist generally with Board and committee materials and collaborate with manager related to Shared Services-related transactional activity.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the strategy and design of defined contribution and defined benefit retirement plans, nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements, retiree medical and all other nonqualified/retirement-related benefit plans.
- Responsible for ensuring plans are administered appropriately, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Brings a participant-focused lens to the work. Duties include, but are not limited to, overseeing plan recordkeeping and third party administrators, monitoring the performance of third-party service providers, working with the appropriate internal committees and Key's consultants around investment performance monitoring and selection (as applicable) as well as participant fees and/or premiums (as applicable), responding to internal and external audit requests, responding to participant inquiries, managing open enrollment, and facilitating fiduciary oversight; may be accountable for data integrations between Key and third party administrators.
- Collaborate with third parties, external consultant(s) and internal finance, legal, compensation, technology, and human resource partners to develop, review and/or draft recommendations that require committee review and approval. Builds highly collaborative partnerships with leaders of the health, well-being and operational benefits teams to support and develop a comprehensive benefits strategy and enrollment process
- Manages, coaches and develops analyst team members on both technical and consulting skills. Identify and implement opportunities to cross-train general Benefits teams, especially as related to shared vendors, including continuously encouraging the team to find opportunities to streamline overlapping work and document processes
- Generates solutions and approaches beyond the standard practice. Demonstrates both a continuous improvement mindset to the work and a focus on total rewards, and motivates the team to apply the same to all aspects of the work
- Develops strategic direction for benefits-related arrangements, supporting plan designs and changes, and makes recommendations to senior management. Conducts or oversees vendor Request for Proposals (RPFs)
- Oversees the development and execution of plan-related comprehensive communications plans. Develops overall themes and objectives. Leverages the People Analytics team to bring a data-informed approach to the work and strategy
- Drafts and/or reviews documents and collaborates with partners and stakeholders
- Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice

Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

- 10+ years Relevant experience or experience in a related field (preferred)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $115,000 to $145,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
