Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Coordinator.Under the supervision of the Associate Dean of Student Affairs, the Project Coordinator of Student Advising Programs is responsible for coordinating and managing student advising projects for the Office of Student affairs, ensuring efficient operations and quality deliverables.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Designs and implements projects to support student career exploration and residency application processes.
  • Supports faculty advisors by maintaining database of student-faculty assignments.
  • Coordinates and oversees events, such as student information sessions, by preparing presentation materials, managing event logistics, inviting speakers, and advertising to students.
  • Manages regular meetings with faculty advisors and advising teams by setting agendas, preparing presentation materials, and managing meeting logistics.
  • Creates and updates student and faculty advising resources including managing online resources.
  • Oversees logistics of dual degree student advising.
  • Conducts research and in-depth data analysis pertaining to project functions, including surveys of student feedback, statistics on residency applications, and program performance reports.
  • Develops policies, procedures and systems which ensure productive and efficient project management.
  • Supports the Associate Dean of Student Affairs by managing stakeholder communication and enhances project efficiency by developing and implementing standardized workflows and clear communication strategies.
  • Keeps leadership informed of project results by reviewing and analyzing data; summarizing information; identifying trends and formally presenting outcomes.
  • Ensures on-schedule project delivery by assigning responsibilities, gathering input from students, and optimizing operational procedures.
  • Manages project timelines and calendars, reviews and prioritizes incoming and outgoing correspondence, and prepares responses in alignment with effective project goals.
  • Creates diverse communication materials, reports, charts, written documents, etc., summarizing findings that may contain confidential information.
  • Gathers, enters, and updates data to maintain project records and databases; establishes and maintains files and records in accordance with project requirements.
  • Supports the process of regular program evaluation and engages in ongoing quality improvement processes of advising programs.
  • Thinks critically and anticipates program needs, identifies next steps, and takes initiatives to ensure seamless execution.
  • Stays updated and enhances professional and technical expertise through active participation in educational workshops and training sessions.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's Core Values and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
  • Supports office events and programming as part of the Student Affairs team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must have a Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to Project/Program manage and to multitask while paying attention to details.

Preferred Qualifications:

Project/Program management experience preferred.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,350.00 - $74,267.59 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
