MEP Project Manager II SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking a MEP Project Manager II responsible for providing overall direction and leadership on MEP dominant projects or MEP scopes of work on medium to large projects, managing project quality, timeliness, and safety, mentoring the project team, and developing and enhancing customer relationships through excellent service. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the overall financial health of projects, including financial projections, cost codes, invoices, and monthly owner billings Oversee budget and selection of trade partners and suppliers, handle billings and contract management, and manage the 3-D coordination and commissioning processes Lead project closeout activities, including operations and maintenance manuals, model turnover, and training Manage Assistant Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s), providing job assignments, career development, and performance feedback Function as the main point of contact with the owner and on-site representative, resolving site concerns and building positive relationships Manage change orders, determining when to submit and obtaining customer/architect approval Maintain schedule and budget until project completion, and provide high-level management of quality, risk, safety, and compliance Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels, and lead team members by example, offering effective coaching and feedback QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field experience Minimum seven years of construction management experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor Current driver's license Ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for complex projects Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple project tasks Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices Intermediate Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skills Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback Ability to travel up to 100% Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, inclusive behaviors, and Affirmative Action plans A few benefits offered include: (for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week) Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverage Dental plan 401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson match Paid time off, holidays, and other paid leaves Employer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insurance No-Cost mental health tool and conciergewith extensive work-life resources Tuition reimbursement Adoption Assistance Gym Membership Discount Program **The base pay range for this role is $128,300 -$192,500. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
