Oversee strategic initiatives from start to finish, providing the voice of the customer to product management, product marketing, sales, and customer success team. Liaise with stakeholders from IT&D and business to understand needs and recommend solutions. Delegate tasks, assess workforce, and mitigate risks and issues. This is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office three days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX. Essential Job Functions/Principal Accountabilities:
- Define, maintain, and own clear capability solutions in alignment with McLane's IT&D and business objectives.
- Own, maintain, and effectively communicate capability catalog to McLane's business stakeholders and IT&D department.
- Provide end-to-end team output strategy from solution ideation to production deployment.
- Validate new capability delivery for both enhancements and projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure McLane's IT&D vision and products align with strategic business objectives.
- Deliver and maintain solution design, including mitigation of risks and issues.
- Responsible for continuous improvement, including identifying opportunities for solution rationalization including applications with duplicate capabilities.
- Communicate of McLane's IT&D objectives, solution capabilities, and solution roadmap.
- Understand and implement industry best practices aligning to McLane's business objectives.
- Remain current on vendor roadmaps and understanding their impact on McLane's solutions
- Maintain capability supportability including integrity of upgrade path.
- Manage and communicate release plans with all stakeholders.
- Communicate, follow, and maintain McLane's IT&D processes and policies.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key McLane stakeholders to ensure that capabilities align with overall strategy and objectives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven knowledge of information technology standard concepts, practices, processes, and procedures.
- Strong collaborator with cross-functional teams from technology, design, and business.
- Experience with business-to-consumer digital products.
- Experience with agile methodologies (managing a backlog/release plan, tracking team level metrics, removing blockers (burndown chart, release burn up, etc.)).
- Strong leader, collaborator, team player, and individual contributor.
- Strong problem solver with ability to manage and lead the team to push the solution and progress.
- Experience with modernization activities is a plus.
- Experience with supply chain and logistics is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment.
- Occasional travel (10%).
