The Technical Sales Manager is pivotal in driving business growth through the acquisition of new clients and the expansion of existing key accounts. This dynamic role involves crafting and executing strategic account plans to identify and secure high-potential opportunities. By deeply understanding client objectives, the Technical Sales Manager will tailor solutions to help clients achieve success, while advancing the company's growth. The role demands close collaboration with product development, engineering, and cross-functional teams to deliver customized solutions that seamlessly integrate both technical and business requirements. Core Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a proactive strategy to drive the growth of existing key accounts and acquire new high-potential clients, ensuring sustained business development and customer success.
- Leads sales calls with key customers, providing viable commercial solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and support teams to ensure the technical aspects of sales proposals are accurate and feasible.
- Consistently meet established sales activity KPI's.
- Consistently meet sales revenue targets.
- Develop client relationships to sell products and services of Barnes within established policy standards.
- Develop ongoing prospects to establish long-term business partnerships through internal and external information sources.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor products, and new technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Maintains a summary of customer profiles, contact dates, customer quotes, follow-ups, and general correspondence through Sales Force CRM tools.
- Develops programs to provide client solutions through the establishment of strategic business relationships and identification of key issues or areas to be addressed.
- Negotiates the best value for products and services sold by division policies and objectives.
- Surveys and forecasts major accounts, market trends, and competitive product line threats for the region.
- Plans sales strategy, with the involvement of sales management, maximizing total sales effort to attain sales goals.
- Participate in trade shows, as assigned or approved by management.
- Follow up and report on the potential sales leads generated from trade shows, advertisements, and referrals.
- Coordinates with support personnel to build a team approach aimed at meeting sales objectives and customer satisfaction.
- Provides appropriate weekly and monthly internal reports to management.
- Plans travel schedules efficiently to meet budget guidelines as established by management.
- Understand and ensure customer-specific requirements, as related to your function, are met.
- Performs duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in business-to-business sales in the industrial market.
- Experience with selling through distributors preferred.
- Experience in technical sales desired.
- Ability to provide quick follow-up and communication to customer requests.
- Must demonstrate a high energy level and commitment to setting and achieving goals.
- Must be creative and able to resolve open issues and technical problems, while building strong working relationships with customers and company inside support personnel.
- Ability to identify new opportunities while selling.
- Able to make in-person sales visits and meet expected KPI requirements.
- Ability to understand product terminology and design, drawings, and specifications to effectively convey knowledge to customers.
- Strong PC aptitude in a Windows environment required; specifically, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to learn other software packages and maintain an awareness of technology advancements.
- Familiarity with CRM platform preferably Salesforce
- Ability to interpret customers' concepts and make appropriate application suggestions.
Education Requirements:
- S. Degree in Engineering or Business is preferred
- Combination of education and years of experience acceptable
